State Representative Kevin Schmidt recently toured a worksite with Lansdowne Up, a local non-profit organization committed to revitalizing East St. Louis.
“Today, while in East St Louis, I toured the area that Lansdowne Up is revitalizing. I viewed many of their properties, including their newly built homes to be sold this Spring. They have made a tremendous investment to revitalize the area. Thanks to Mark Mestemacher and the team for taking the time to show me around!”
Here is Lansdowne Park’s Mission Statement from their official website: “Lansdowne Park housing development aims to be a beacon of hope for the Lansdowne neighborhood in East St. Louis, IL. It’s designed to pour energy and life into a neighborhood with amazing potential to spark revival in East St. Louis.
We envision a community excited about the future by attracting families back to Lansdowne with opportunities to make a difference. The 20-home subdivision at the intersection of 25th Street and Gross Avenue will be ready for occupancy in 2024″ (Nonprofit In East St. Louis | Lansdowne Up | East St. Louis).
