New Athens, IL…State Representative Kevin Schmidt is excited to announce the kickoff of his canned food drive, running from December 4th to December 15th. All members of the community are encouraged to participate by contributing canned food goods, as every donation makes a significant impact in supporting those in need.
Representative Schmidt has partnered with CESNA-Church Emergency Services of New Athens to ensure that the collected canned goods will be distributed to those facing food insecurity in the local community. CESNA has a long-standing commitment to providing emergency services, including food assistance, to individuals and families experiencing difficult times.
Donations of all canned food items are welcome and greatly appreciated. From vegetables and fruits to soups and proteins, every contribution helps make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate during the holiday season.
