Rep. Schmidt to Host Tire Recycling and Food Drive Event in Smithton
Smithton, IL…State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) is hosting a Tire Recycling Event and Food Drive in Smithton and encourages constituents to attend. The event will provide residents with a safe and secure way to dispose of tires. Rep. Schmidt’s staff will also be collecting non-perishable food items to deliver to local food pantries throughout the 114th District.
“The purpose of this event is to give my constituents a way to recycle their old tires while also collecting food for our community,” Schmidt said. “Safely disposing old tires reduces landfill waste and creates useful products that can be used to serve other purposes.”

What to expect: Drive up with your tires and our team will unload what you have and load it into the recycling truck.
