I will be hosting a Coffee Talk Event on June 17, in Mascoutah and I want you to join! This event offers constituents an opportunity to engage with me in a relaxed and personal setting to discuss state legislation.
In order to best represent you, I need to hear about what issues matter to you. I want to hear directly from my constituents so we can work together to tackle issues that are impacting families and businesses in the 114th district and find solutions to improve Illinois.

Pritzker vs Congress on Illegal Immigration Policies in IL
Yesterday, Governor Pritzker testified before Congress about Illinois’ sanctuary state policies. Under Governor Pritzker’s reign, Illinois has become the go-to destination for illegal immigrants,
where they can receive platinum healthcare, housing, food, and more – all on the taxpayer’s
dime. Since 2022, Illinois taxpayers have spent over $3 billion on illegal immigrants and that’s not including education costs or other various services.

Illinois residents can fish for free over Father’s Day weekend
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (INDR) is offering Illinois residents an opportunity to fish without a license during Father’s Day Weekend. From Friday, June 13, through Monday, June 16, all Illinois residents aged 16 and over can fish without a license during these four days. The 2025 Free Fishing Days allows anglers to fish without the need for a fishing license, salmon stamp, or inland trout stamp. Keep in mind that all other state fishing regulations remain in effect. Madigan Sentencing
Ex-Speaker Mike Madigan will receive his sentencing very soon after being found guilty on bribery charges earlier this year. Prosecutors recommended he be sentenced to more than 12 years in prison.

Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation
Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation publicly unveiled 16 one-bedroom housing units in Cahokia Heights on Wednesday, marking the completion of the first portion of its affordable housing development.
Dubbed Vivian’s Village, the $6.5 million facility will provide a safe and stable option in the lower-income Metro East community, according to leaders of the Sauget-based health care organization.
“I think this is something that’s needed in every community,” said foundation CEO Larry McCulley. “This is the way we bring health back to health care. This is where we bring dignity back to health care.”
