Glock Ban Scheduled for House Gun Violence Prevention Committee on 5-20-26
House Bill 4471 is a de facto ban on Glock pistols in Illinois. Glock switches are already illegal and criminals don’t follow existing gun laws anyway. Banning the sale of Glocks will do nothing to stop violent crime and will certainly not improve public safety in our communities.
We are expecting Democrats to vote on this bill in the House Gun Violence Prevention Committee Wednesday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m.
