Tackling the cost of living in Illinois should be a bipartisan priority, however, the majority party wants to raise taxes by $728 billion as spending continues to grow. If they were serious about affordability, they would take action to reduce taxes though policy reform, create a long-term solution to improve general revenue, and be disciplined to maintain fiscal responsibility.
Rising costs are driven by Illinois’ high cost of government. Like the rest of the state, a lot of taxpayers are fed up with having more money pulled from their pockets to foot the bill for bad policies coming out of Springfield.
I would encourage Governor Pritzker to opt into federal relief through “No Tax on Tips and Overtime” to help hard-working citizens save money.
We must do more to help Illinois residents keep more money in their pockets. I’m focused on lowering the cost of living by supporting legislation that will help alleviate some of the rising costs we are seeing across the state.

I want to hear from you!
Governor JB Pritzker’s policies over the past seven years have significantly burdened Illinois families, with a 43% increase in state spending, property taxes are now #1 in the nation, and billions of dollars have been spent subsidizing illegal immigration. Is your family better off?
