Last week in Springfield, we certainly had action but no discussions about the kitchen table issues that are making life hard for working families. There were (352) Bills from Democrats in committee vs. just (9) Bills from Republican lawmakers. House Republicans have sound solutions that would lower the cost of living, improve public safety, and create opportunities, but we continue to be completely shut out of the process.
If the supermajority party was serious about creating a better future for Illinois families, they would come to the table with transparency, conversations, and real action. We have an uphill battle in Illinois, but House Republicans are committed to holding the Democrats accountable and will continue to support legislation that makes life more affordable in Illinois.

I had several office visits last week from amazing people who care about our state. We all had great conversations and I want to thank everyone who came to the Capitol this week. See more photos here.

Women’s History Month
This month we honor the remarkable women who have made history through their contributions to society and our culture here in America. Women’s History Month was established in 1978 as a local week long celebration, and in 1987 Congress expanded it to a full month.
Let us celebrate all of the incredible achievements women have made in our country!

Protecting the citizens of Illinois must be a priority.
The more Governor Pritzker refuses to comply with federal requests, the more federal funding our state loses. This time, an audit has found that 1 in 5 noncitizen truck licenses were issued illegally in Illinois.
If our state refuses to immediately correct the violations, more than $128 million in highway funding will be lost and drivers in our state will be less safe.
