I thank Americans for Prosperity for honoring me with this award. The work Americans for Prosperity does is extremely important for the future of our state and our country. Standing up for taxpayers should be a no-brainer and in a perfect world – one in which ALL legislators did their job and protected taxpayers – there would be no need for AFP to exist. But we don’t live in a perfect world and thankfully AFP does exist, and they are educating the public and getting citizens involved and holding elected officials accountable. We need a return to common sense and with the help of organizations like Americans for Prosperity – we will.
