State Representative Kevin Schmidt toured the Bowman Avenue Pump Station in East St. Louis today. The pump station has 8 pumps, with over 20,000 gallons of water going through Bowman each day.
“It was so eye opening to visit Bowman Pump Station,” said Rep. Schmidt. “People don’t realize how important this station is. It deals with water from Columbia to Alton, and without it our interstate would flood in only 30 minutes.”
