Rep. Schmidt Applauds Boeing’s Commitment to Innovation and Community Development During Mascoutah Facility Visit

Mascoutah, IL…State Representative Kevin Schmidt toured the Boeing manufacturing facility in Mascoutah, gaining firsthand insight into the company’s significant contributions to the local community and the aerospace industry at large Boeing St. Clair, which opened its doors in January 2011, has been an integral part of the region’s economic growth and community development.

Rep. Schmidt expressed his enthusiasm for the invaluable role Boeing plays in his district, stating, “Today, I went on a tour of the Boeing manufacturing facility in Mascoutah. They make multiple plane components at that facility. I am glad to have Boeing in my district. They bring in good paying jobs and economic opportunities.”

Boeing St. Clair, with its flight test program added in 2019, has not only created jobs but has also become a cornerstone in fostering diversity and inclusion. The facility has been instrumental in inspiring participation in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields and supporting military veterans in their transition to civilian life. In 2022 alone, Boeing employees volunteered an impressive 54,000 hours, showcasing their dedication to making a positive impact.
