State Representative Kevin Schmidt has pledged to donate the legislative pay raise he voted against to different local community outreach efforts in his community. This month, he has chosen the Gethsemane Church of the Living God’s Annual Turkey Dinner.
He visited there this week and released the following statement: “The horrible state budget included politician pay increases again. I voted no on that budget for many reasons. One reason was the politician’s pay increases. I donate my pay increase back to my district every month. Today, we donated to Gethsemane Church of the Living God’s Annual Turkey Dinner in East Saint Louis. The food and supplies will go to good use.”
Rep. Schmidt proudly serves the people of the 114th District.
