Last Friday, the Walmart store on Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia Heights IL closed it doors for the final time.
Many people in the community have depended on this store for food, household goods, and medicine from the pharmacy. With the nearest Walmart 8 to 10 miles away, this is going to place a massive burden on many citizens who are simply trying to purchase the items they need to live their life.
Rep. Schmidt appeared on KSDK 5 news to address the store closing, the impact it will have on the community, and some possible solutions for the problems now arising with the loss of this store. Full video below.
